As far back as I can remember, reading has not just been my hobby, but a constant part of my life. From right back as a small kid when I would rip my bedtime stories from my Mum’s hand (because she read too slow!) through my awkward teens, where I spent my school breaks tucked away behind library shelves reading about book characters who felt like friends.
even during darker times in my adult life
fictional worlds became an escape
from my own mental health struggles.
books saved my sanity.
That’s why, at Witty Lit. it’s our mission to spread positivity and mental wellness through reading - to help other people find that spark of happiness between the pages of a good book.
